The USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and one of the most famous ships in American naval history, has arrived in Mobile, Alabama, for its final chapter. Commissioned in 1961, the “Big E” served our nation for more than five decades and remains the longest naval vessel ever built. Now docked on the Mobile waterfront, this record-setting carrier will be carefully dismantled over the next few years. That makes now a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see it whole.
